Has our Nation Change Their God?

Jeremiah 2:11  "Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit."

Did you know that the nations who's god is not the God of Creation have not changed their gods since they were formed? In contrast our great nation, the United States of America, was founded on the One True God, and we have changed our god. This nation was established with God being in everything...in government, in schools, in the presidential office, and in the courts. It is not so today.

People have been deceived into thinking the US Constitution states separation of church and state. It does not! The First Amendment included in the Bill of Rights states..."Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;" It NEVER says that government cannot participate in religious activities. In fact, the founding fathers prayed to the God of Creation continuously, looking to Him for guidance in their decision making and even quoting scripture in their speeches before the people and before the Congress.

The United States of America is a great nation. It is, however, being destroyed from within. Why do you think this nation has been so blessed over the years? Because we have been under the protection of the God of Creation. Should we continue in the path we're on, I believe God's hand of protection may be removed. He is a jealous God.

Exodus 20:5-6" "Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments." Because we were established as a Christian nation and the world sees us as a Christian nation, we have a responsibility to follow God's laws and maintain our testimony before them. Not doing so, will warrant God's chastisement. God's chastisement is God showing His love towards us. It's His attempt to draw us back to Him. He only chastises those He loves.

2Chronicles 7:14  "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." It's not too late. We can still heal our nation. We must ask for forgiveness for our part in our nation's spiritual decline. We must pray for our leaders and pray for their decisions. We must vote based on God's Word and not on our pocket book. We cannot expect our leaders to follow God's leadership, if we vote in those who don't follow God.
